COVID-19: New Testing Information

The Sherman County Health Department and Goodland Regional Medical Center are excited to announce that increased COVID-19 testing is available in Sherman County!

We are working to ensure that our NWKS residents are able to receive this testing if they are experiencing two or more of the following symptoms: fever of more than 100 degrees, chills, shivering, muscle aches, malaise, headache, sore throat, lower respiratory illness (cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing), sudden loss of smell or taste and/or diarrhea. To receive this COVID-19 testing option, you MUST call Goodland Family Health Center at 785-890-6075.

A nurse will screen you over the phone to see if you meet the current KDHE criteria for testing. If so, you will be asked to schedule a time to be tested. Tests are limited; therefore, tests will ONLY be conducted on those who display symptoms and have a scheduled testing time.
Please note: This is NOT a medical evaluation.

This testing option will only be available Monday-Friday from 12:00pm – 2:00pm. If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms and feel that you need to see your physician, please call GFHC to schedule an appointment. Routine COVID-19 testing will still be available as well.

Thank you!
