After Hours Care
We want to ensure you have access to the right care at the right time—even when our clinic doors are closed. Please use the following guidelines to determine the best path for your medical needs after hours.
In an Emergency
If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency (such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or signs
of a stroke), please call 911 immediately.
Urgent Medical Needs
For urgent medical concerns that cannot wait until the next business day, please go to the Goodland
Regional Medical Center (or nearest) Emergency Department.
- On-Call Providers: In accordance with federal regulations for Critical Access Hospitals, a provider is always "on-call at GRMC." While they may not be physically on the premises 24/7, they are available to arrive within the mandated timeframe to provide medical diagnosis and treatment.
Non-Urgent Requests
For routine needs that do not require immediate medical attention, we offer several convenient ways
to reach us after hours. Our staff retrieves all messages the following business day and triages them
based on clinical urgency.
- Patient Portal: Log in to your secure patient portal to send non-urgent clinical questions or messages to your provider.
- Voicemail: You may leave a message on our main clinic line at (785) 890-6075 for:
- Appointment scheduling or cancellations.
- Prescription refill requests (please allow 3–5 business days for processing).
- General inquiries for our nursing or administrative staff.
