Goodland Regional Medical Center offers a full menu to both patients and staff. We also offer a meals on wheels program that is available to those in need, with in the community. We are able to accommodate a variety of diets. Some of these diets include, Diabetic, Low sodium, Heart Healthy (cardiac), Gluten Free, and Renal. We pride ourselves in food quality and nutrition and do our very best to make sure that, although some diets are very strict, that all of our food is appealing both in looks and taste. We hold the highest standards when it comes to food safety and sanitation, following all FDA regulations and CMS guidelines.
One of the most important roles that the Goodland Regional Medical Center plays in its community is through its involvement with the local “Meals-On-Wheels” program. Since the program’s inception in 1975, the GRMC’s dietary department has been entrusted with the task of seeing to the preparation of the meals that are delivered to homes of subscribers by local volunteers. GRMC was deemed the logical choice to fulfill this key aspect of the program, as its dietary personnel are on duty 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Hospital dietary staff members are also well acquainted with a wide variety of diets as a result of their work in this regard on a daily basis. In addition, all involved meals are carefully planned by a registered dietitian to insure proper nutritional content and balance, often in accordance with a doctor’s order.
