A Northwest Kansas native, Laci Leichliter, LSCSW, came to Goodland Family Health Center in 2014 after graduating with her Masters of Social Work from the University of Kansas the same year. Prior to obtaining her MSW, Laci practiced as a bachelor’s level social worker for seven years with the Department for Children and Families. Through this work she gained irreplaceable experience that has helped her become the clinician she is today.

In April 2019, Laci took the next step in her career and became a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, allowing her to practice independently. Laci has implemented behavioral health services at Goodland Family Health Center and believes this to be a vital service for our community and hopes that this program will continue to grow in services offered and number of patients served. Our ability to provide this service in-house allows GFHC/GRMC to offer a more holistic approach and recognizes that behavioral health plays a key role in overall physical health.

Laci provides individual, couples, and family counseling in the clinic four days a week. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques including but not limited to trauma-informed, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She also provides crisis intervention services for patients and their families both in the clinic and hospital.
