Originally a Colorado native, Melissa Ramig, LMSW has been a member of the Goodland community since 2014. With an undergraduate degree in Sociology, she has worked in the social work field in different capacities for over 9 years. She decided to further her social work career and started as a student at Goodland Family Health Center working with Laci Leichliter, LSCSW in August of 2020 and came on full-time in 2021 as the Social Services Coordinator. Melissa graduated from the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare in 2022 and is now a Licensed Master Social Worker and behavioral health provider in our clinic. She strives to always be learning; expanding her knowledge and ability to work and adapt to specific client needs and looks forward to continuing to offer such an essential service to our community.

Melissa provides individual, couples, and family counseling in the clinic four days a week, seeing patients age 6 and older. She enjoys working with patients of all identities and backgrounds, learning their stories, building trusting relationships, and working with them to achieve their goals and promote overall well-being.  She uses various therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to trauma-informed, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She also provides crisis intervention services for patients and their families in the clinic and hospital.
