Dr. Menich, M.D. grew up in the Chicago area, and attended the University of Illinois as an undergraduate, where he majored in history. After a couple of years in the business world, he decided his true calling was medicine, and returned to the University of Illinois for medical school, on a full scholarship from the U.S. Army.

He did his internship at Phoenix’s Maricopa County Hospital, and then finished internal medicine residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He practiced general internal medicine for eight years at military hospitals in Belgium, Germany, and Virginia before returning to Walter Reed, for his allergy and immunology training. After practicing and teaching at Walter Reed, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and NATO headquarters in Belgium, Dr. Menich finished his military career at Fort Carson.

He has lived and practiced in Colorado Springs following his retirement from the Army, and liked it very much, but couldn’t turn down the opportunity to work with Dr. Bock in a well established, well-respected practice in the beautiful mountain community of Boulder.

Dr. Menich, had many interesting experiences in the military, and held multiple leadership positions, including the command of the clinic at NATO headquarters, but he has always found patient care to be the most rewarding and enjoyable activity of his professional life. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and allergy-immunology, and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. He brings excellent training and a wealth of experience to the practice, treating the full benefit, treating the full breadth of asthma, allergic, and immunologic disorders. He feels very strongly that, before any testing or treatment, listening must come first.

Dr. Menich has additional training, and many years of experience, in travel medicine. He is a diplomat of the International Society of Travel Medicine and is authorized by Colorado as a provider of yellow fever vaccine. If you are spending a semester abroad, taking a safari as a dream vacation, going on a mission to a developing country, or accepting a job assignment overseas, there’s much more to it than “What shots?” Dr. Menich can help you prepare for the safest possible experience.

When not in the office, Dr. Menich enjoys his family, hiking, biking, fishing, cooking, and reading history. He is a lifelong Cub fan, but of course, roots for the Rockies when they’re playing any other team.
