Goodland Regional Medical Center Emergency Room Relocation Update

Immediate Release: Goodland Regional Medical Center Emergency Room Relocation Update

Goodland, KS — Goodland Regional Medical Center would like to announce the completion of the relocation of its emergency department to improve the facility and to improve patient and staff safety outcomes.

With the outbreak of COVID-19, GRMC staff has worked diligently to keep patient and staff safety and care a top priority at the facility.  One of the next steps in providing that excellent and safe patient care is to relocate the current Emergency Room department to the north wing of the hospital. This move is a part of a larger plan to incrementally update the hospital over time, to help with infection control processes and will allow the hospital to remain in compliance with regulatory agencies. By moving the department, the staff will also be able to provide patients with a more private experience during their ER visit and the move brings the ER closer to the floor nursing staff and the current nurse’s station.

“We are excited to bring a much-needed upgrade to our emergency department for our patients and staff,” stated Allison Mulch, GRMC Director of Nursing.

The official move was completed Monday, January 18, 2021. All ER patients will need to present to the North Wing Door, to the west of the old ER entrance starting at 8:00 am MST on January 19, 2020 (see photo below).

If you have any questions about the relocation of the emergency room, please contact the Goodland Regional Medical Center Risk Department at (785) 890-4059 or email us at [email protected].
