No Visitor Restrictions Reimplemented- October 12, 2020

Due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases in our area, GRMC & GFHC has decided to once again reimplement our No Visitor Policy, effective October 12, 2020.

We understand that this may cause an inconvenience for you and your loved ones. Please know that we value your health and the health of your loved ones during this time.

Our policy is as follows:

Inpatients

No general visitation is allowed.

  • Patients under the age of 18 will be allowed one parent or caregiver per day and that person will be allowed to remain with the patient during hospitalization 
  • Special Situations may occur and the visitor restriction may be changed at the discretion of the provider and director of nursing. 

Emergency Department

No general visitation will be allowed 

  • One (1) power of attorney or legal decision maker will be allowed with adult patients who may require assistance 
  • Patients under the age of 18 will be allowed one (1) parent or caregiver will be allowed to remain with the patient during emergency room treatment 
  • One (1) support person will be allowed to accompany a pregnant woman during an obstetrics emergency 
  • Special Situations may occur and the visitor restriction may be changed at the discretion of the provider and director of nursing. 

Specialty Clinic/Outpatient Departments (Lab, Imaging, etc.)

No visitors will be allowed to accompany a patient, with the following exceptions: 

  • One (1) parent or caregiver will be allowed with a child under the age of 18 
  • One (1) power of attorney or legal decision maker will be allowed with adult patients who may require assistance 
  • One (1) caregiver will be allowed for patients who require physical assistance 
  • One (1) support person will be allowed to accompany a pregnant woman during obstetrics appointments 

Goodland Family Health Center

No visitors will be allowed to accompany a patient, with the following exceptions: 

  • One (1) parent or caregiver will be allowed with a child under the age of 18 
  • One (1) power of attorney or legal decision maker will be allowed with adult patients who may require assistance 
  • One (1) caregiver will be allowed for patients who require physical assistance 
  • One (1) support person will be allowed to accompany a pregnant woman during obstetrics appointments 

Dialysis

No visitors will be allowed in the facility with the following exceptions: 

  • One (1) caregiver will be allowed for patients to enter or exit who require physical assistance 

Surgery

  • One (1) visitor will be allowed to wait in the facility during a loved one’s surgical procedure. 

Contracted Personnel

  • Personnel who are performing contracted services within the facility will be screened using the Patient/Visitor Screening Form and are required to wear a mask while in the facility. 

Visitors Meeting Exclusion Criteria 

  • All visitors who meet exclusion criteria as outlined above must complete the Patient/Visitor Screening Form and are required to wear a mask while in the facility.
