Norman D. Means, MD, FCAP, DABFM, to join Goodland Family Health Center Medical Team

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

GOODLAND, KS – Dr. Norman Means, of Rockford, OH, will join the medical team at Goodland Family Health Center. Dr. Means signed a contract with Goodland Regional Medical Center and will begin employment on June 22, 2020. The GRMC Board of Trustees formally approved the contract at a special meeting on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

“We are very excited to welcome Dr. Means to the community! GRMC is very fortunate to have attracted a seasoned family medicine physician who is also a board-certified specialist in pathology. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Means will provide the additional support our care team needs to continue providing the highest level of medical care to our community. With Dr. Means’ clinical leadership in pathology, we look forward to working collaboratively with our sister hospital in Atwood and other interested hospitals to improve our Northwest Kansas laboratory program,” stated Dr. Ron Robinson, GRMC CEO.

Dr. Means, is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and family medicine. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Means completed a general surgery internship and pathology residency from the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and a family medicine residency from Duke University/Southern Region AHEC Family Medicine Residency in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dr. Means also served as a transfusion medicine fellow at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Dr. Means has more than 25 years of experience in various service areas such as emergency care and family medicine.
